ACME MK1 - 3.2mm, 4.2mm + 5.2mm BUNDLE (Aluminium grips) + 6 FREE 1700mAh batteries.

Allow me the opportunity to introduce ACME, my first wireless (or wired if preferred) pen machine.

ACME has been in the making for almost 2 years and I could not be more happy with the end result. My “initial” goal was to make the lightest pen on the market. I achieved this easily but decided, after numerous trials, that lightest doesn’t always mean best. What needed to be focussed on and achieved first and foremost was perfect balance with low down (in the hand) weight so there was no uncomfortable top end stressful overhang heaviness when moving the pen around at various angles whilst tattooing. This low down weight allows for far more accurate control of the placement of the needles on the skin itself whilst greatly reducing pressure on the wrist and all whilst keeping vibration to an absolute minimum, which in turn enhances the steadiness needed to produce crisp sharp tattoos as easily as possible. Using this machine is definitely a pleasure and not a chore and it will leave you wanting more and looking forward to your next tattoo.

ACME works with every brand of carts that I have tested. One important feature is the internal push bar arrangement inside the machine. It is a precision CNC machined component which is made from aircraft aluminium so it is light and rigid. I found this better and more reliable than opting for a cheaper bent push bar set up. In simple terms, it gives more energy transfer from the motor to the cart. This I also found produced more consistency when running the machine. ACME comes in three strokes; 3.2mm (green identity ring), 4.2mm (amber identity ring) and 5.2mm (red identity ring). The identity ring makes for quick and easily visible selection for the stroke you want should you opt for more than a one stroke variation of ACME.

The grips can simply unscrewed and can be autoclaved.

Combined with the perfect weight distribution, I wanted to obtain enough power in the motor that it would maintain optimal speeds when the needles enter the skin. Working closely with my motor manufacturer, I now have the maximum torque available from any motor this size. (Their words not mine).

During the trials I opted to run with an RCA connection on ACME. I did this because of the universal global standard this gives. Allowing you, the tattooer, full freedom of choice now and in the future. I didn’t want to offer something so unique with a connection that it created unwanted limitations and tied you in to just using the power banks that I supply. Batteries cost a lot of money and I also wanted you to be able to use what you may already have. I supply two free batteries with each machine to ensure you never run out of power. The RCA allows you to use any batteries you currently have of a similar design and also allows you to run with an RCA cable if preferred. Basically, I wanted to give you as much freedom of choice as I possibly could.

More on the battery. These are 1700mAh batteries, giving you one of the most stacked power banks available x2. Again, from a universal point of view, these batteries, being RCA, can be used on other machines if you want. Like I’ve mentioned previously, you get TWO FREE batteries with every ACME purchased.
